Deristricting Factory Exhaust
« on: March 21, 2012, 07:16:17 PM »
I am looking for sound at the moment.... has anyone ever opened the factory muffler and derestricted it?

I am tempted to cut the little exit pipe and put something a little bigger.

Get an after market pipe and keep the original one in case you want to make it "factory" again. And yes, it can be deristricted. http://motorcyclephilippines.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244147&page=256

I always keep the OEM, just in case I screw up.

I ended up puting a Kawasaki sport bike muffler on...looks kind of crappy, but I am happy.

In some parts of our country, loud pipes are illegal. http://www.tagumcity.gov.ph/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1331773382

so I installed this. Its from a sport bike. Its baffled, not a glass pack. The header pipe is from a 50cc. This was done on purpose to avoid lean condition. Yeah I know it looks crappy.

After 2 days of driving to work, most 95% throttle. I get this.

Not too bad eh?

I have a full jet kit (pilot, needle and main) coming from a place called 6Sigma out of phoenix. Hope its worth it
