I think it's about time to change the phrase "blowing of horn" or "blow your horn". First, it's not a horn, and secondly, you don't blow the f*n thing! Any good suggestions might end up in Webster or Wiki....

Phones don't have dials anymore but you still "dial a number." Televisions don't have knobs but you still "turn the channel." "Blowing your horn" etc. are just leftover sayings from changing technology. As long as everyone understands what it means does it really matter?

Gee wiz...I didn't think of it that way... Was just curious what can we substitute for "blowing the horn". Would "sounding the hooter" qualify?
