VARIATOR NUT

only problem i will have is providing the 12v power im wondering if the agility battery would provide the power as i have no use of a car as a power source and if i have to go out and buy a battery charger or car battery to power it then it may just be easier to go for this mains powerd one below only thing is its twice the price for a item i will use very little and may be to powerfull when tightening the nut back up

Also does anyone know what size the variator nut is as the impact wrenches come provided with a couple of sockets thank you for any help advice.....

The 1st RAC one is the one i bought about a yr ago and its pretty good, i have no complaints really with it. It has a socket to fit the variator nut in the box but not one for the clutch nut. I just use a normal socket for the clutch and its been fine. Like you say tho its only 12v and NO your agility battery wont power it, well mine wont even if i run the scoot. I connect my car battery charger leads to the leads for the wrench. and then i can power it off the mains.

If you dont have a charger to power it you may still be cheaper buying a cheap 12v car charger and the RAC one?

Thanks streido what amp is your car charger wilkinsons sell a 3 amp car charger which is the cheapest around or do you think i will need a higher amp charger....

The charger i use was a pretty cheap one similair to this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7404355.htm but im not sure on the amps. If im in the garage tomorrow ill take a look.

works good on the clutch also but you need a big long handle allen wrench.

I tried greagles method but it didnt work. Think if you already had the nut off before it may be ok but it would not budge my nut at all so i got the impact wrench.

This post just reminded me that i was meant to let u know about my charger kisbee, mine is a upto 6amp charger.

The guy in the video has a Kymco Super 8, and are the wisest guy in scooters in Denmark.

This is the impact wrench i went for i thought it was a bargain price at £19 with delivery just hope its up to the job now just got to get a 12v supply to power it....
