I'm looking at a used Kymco People 250, it looks good and rides well, the only problem I noticed is very high RPM idle for the first few minutes after start. Could there be a problem?
That's
quite normal -- that's the "auto-enrichener" (auto-choke), which revs the engine a bit until it is warmed up, which depends on the ambient temperature. The colder it is outside, the longer the auto-choke stays engaged. Once it cuts out, the idle drops, and may even drop to an uneasy stutter (in which case, the idle screw needs a slight adjustment).
If it's a good deal (and Edmunds and KBB will tell you this),
BUY IT. You won't be sorry.
