Variator up-date
« on: May 18, 2012, 10:59:47 PM »
Now over 400 miles since new variator, new rollers, and putting on my old high mileage belt. Road almost exactly 100 miles today. 55-60 most off the time, about 5-6 miles in town, and freeway speeds for about 10 miles @(65). Got 57.5 MPG? A 2007 carbed bike with over 30,000 miles on it, and I get close to 58 MPG? I'm not complaining about nothing, but 57.5? How? Stock parts must work much better, and or I did something right for a change? ;D :-*

Took off covers sunday. Belt looks ok, but I can see some fine cracks as it has over 20,000 miles on it, but it shows no sign of any damage from the variator/clutch operating in and out. Pulley halfs look like new, and boss is clean and perfect. :-*

Real happy for you Sis! About time the Irish luck turned for you!
