People 150 from Lancaster PA to Westfield MA
« on: April 19, 2009, 06:14:33 PM »
On Friday, I rode my People 150 over 300 miles from East Petersburg PA (just north of Lancaster), to Westfield MA. The route I took had me going up and down mountains. It was beautiful.

If you wanna see pics or get the whole story, it's all on me blog at scootinfool.blogspot.com

That was a haul, wasn't it! How did the 150 do on the hills? How many times did you fill the tank? How long did it take?

It took a little over 11 hours and three fillups. Same for the return trip.

The P150 scoots right up hills without skipping a beat. I even have a vid on my blog of it popping right up a rather steep hill in Blandford MA that has been known to be difficult for cars to climb.

Mileage for the trip came out to about 71 mpg. not bad considering the varied terrain and traffic.

Are you going to the New Holland Rally May 15-17? Have you ever been to that one?

Never been, but I plan on going this year, yes. I even took the three days off from work. I've ridden with several of the guys from the Burgman USA forum. They're a good bunch.

I will say though, these longer rides are making me long for a touring scooter that I could take even further. I'm really drooling over the Xciting 500Ri...I just wish I knew what kind of storage it had.
