Menorca/Kymcoland
« on: August 04, 2012, 09:32:53 PM »
Just got back from holiday in Menorca, they should rename it Kymcoland. Everwhere you looked all you saw were Agility 50's & 125's, People 125's and even a few Downtowns etc. Every scoot hire shop was full of Agility 125's and everyone rode scoots, they must be close to 1:1 ratio with cars on the road,at least. There were a few other brands,Yamaha, Honda, Peugeot,Vespa etc,but by far the majority were Kymco's. I would say 3 or 4 out of 5 scoots i saw was a Kymco!

Weather was great so everyone was riding in shorts, t-shirts and open helmets (Flip-Flops too :o) but due to the lack of real traffic it seemed fine, the scoots ruled the road in town at least. I saw one of the maids from our resort pull up one morning on a modded and seriously cool ZX, she was at least 45-50 yr old and  "black mama" type lady, it totally threw me when i saw her get off it and take off her helmet  :o

Even the cps had cool rides, this was a Honda but still cool

Was dying to hire a scoot and go for a ride, but like a complete asshole i forgot to take my license over with me so couldnt hire one out,i just had to drool and wimper as they all passed me by  :'(  Got serious withdrawl symptoms from not riding for the week, i missed my little Kymco.

I need to move asap to warmer climes, i function far better in the sun  :D Now need to get my plans in order. I need to move in around 10-15 years time so time to start getting my affairs/plans in order. Somewhere in the Med or the Canary Islands will be just fine,  i love island life, it just seems so much more laidback than the mainland. We even had a visit from Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones who cruised into our cove one morning in their little dingy,no-one even batted an eyelid, we lifted our sun-glasse, had a look then we went back to relaxing  ;D i had a look for JOnes in a bikini  but i guess she was busy servicing Mike, nice looking boat tho  8)

Anyone hiring in the Canaries just let me know, i can start today  :D
Chaos is my co-pilot.

Honestly Id never think about kicking a bike over but when I saw the scooter cop first thing I thought was "only takes a nudge".

Nice on the outside, but economy falling apart from the inside. Stay away from there and stick to UK.  ;D ;D

Yup but the economy is fu©ked the world over, some countries are just better at hiding it than others, the whole system is fu©ked tho, its like a house of cards and its about to all come tumbling down soon i predict the world over. We need a drastic change in our priorities the world over.

I still wont be moving for at least 10 yrs so will just play it by ear and see what the situation is then. Still if we are all goijg to be poor i would rather be poor sitting in the sun  ;D
