Valve aadjust on Agility 125????
« on: February 26, 2009, 06:25:42 PM »
Is there a valve check/adjust on the 125's at some point?  I have 1800 miles on mine and was wondering.  Their manual lacks for information.
Thanks in advance,

Scott ???

Hello, sorry there has been no replies to your post.  AT 1800 miles, i wouldn't panic.  A value job, check should be done around 2500 miles.  There is a post here with a link to some service manual info that would have the spec and how-to information.

With this great engine on the Agility, you should be fine.

Be safe

I spoke with a mechanic when I had Beverly 200. He says that on that particular engine even at 30.000 kms there is no need to adjust valves (perhaps only check). I do not know how that info translates to Kymco, but these several thousand miles service intervals seems excessive to me.

Let me give you some more information, in European Union, service interval for People 250S with injection is 8000 kms. Service interval for my People 250 S with carb is 3000 kms, because this is what the importer probably decided in order to give more work to the mechanics he works with.

I think two decades ago people would laugh if we told them that you have to adjust valves every 2000 kms or change oil every 2-3.000 kms... however, I do that also in order to keep the warranty rights.

I checked mine at 5000km and they were dead on which is a good sign.  I probably won't check them again for quite some time unless there is a problem.  Feel free to have a look see on yours though, its pretty easy.
