I have some scratches on my Yager.  Yes, it fell, yes I was on it.  Long story, but now I do not know how to fix the scratches.  They are deep enough to be felt with your finger.  If I could get an auto painter to do it, I would.  I asked two and they won't touch it.  If I could get the color in a spray can, I might give it a try.  Does anyone have any ideas?  There must be another person who scratched his bike.

Update - - - This is the answer from KymcoUSA; "We do not have any paint codes.  I can provide you the part # for the touch-up paint you can order through a KYMCO dealer if you'll confirm whether you have a gray or blue/black Yager."  I sent him the info requested.  Tills in Woodbury is the paint supplier, I'll see what Mike at Tills says once I get the part no.

Update #2; I spent yesterday at Tills.  Fortunately or unfortunately, the camera was on the road.  Tom, I think The Manager, and Mike got together and with good eyes they were able to match the color.  With a drop of it on my finger I touched the worst scratch and lo and behold, it seemed a perfect match.  They put it into a special spray can and gave me some instructions.  The only downside is that the paint is only good for 24 hours after I open it so I can't save it for another day.  I'll do the job next week and give another update.

Update #3; I did the job on Monday.  After about on hour of taping I picked up the paint can. First I painted the bottom of a shovel for practice. It took about 3 coats before I started to see color.  It had a fine spray and at first, I thought that they forgot to put the color into the paint.  After 3 or 4 coats it really started looking good.  Then I moved to the scoot, I don't know how many coats I put on but I kept going with very light layers until I was satisfied with the coverage.  It looked very good, on Tuesday it still looked good but a little darker than the original paint.  Hopefully, it will lighten as it matures.  Either way, I'll be happy.

i got a killer deal on my Yager because the older guy that had it dropped it over in the gravel, scratching up the right side.  I ordered all new plastic online, suprising but it doesn't cost that much, well not in comparison to crotch rocket plastic, that stuff is made of gold.

Problem with the kymco plastic, it sctaches easily, the paint that is on the plastic comes off easy.  Painting plastic is tough, it will never look like it did when it was new, i suggest you order new plastic online.  If going to some of the places like kymcopartsonline, you may have to specify  the color when ordering.

I have scratches on my bike but I'm lucky because it's black. I just sand the scratch a bit and use a black paint pen. No problem with off-shade. Black is black.

good tip, vivo. as i started to read your post i was thinking a "sharpie" but then recalled that there are paint pens out there.

Great suggestion, Vivo. I have a few scratches on mine - a roll of chicken wire fell on it in our garage, and from the time I was rear-ended by an SUV. Richard, if the scratches are real bad I would follow Dave's suggestion about order the new panels.

Thanks Wolf, just a little skin lost on my knee.  The bike is worse than me.  I'll try to get matching spray paint first, I understand there is a place in Woodbury that will match the color and put it in a spray can.  If that dosen't work, I'll go for new parts.  Thanks to all for the advice.

Paint pens prove out to be useful for the vehicles being effected from scratches as a scratch in a vehicle is a thing which cannot be repaired and nor can be overhauled. It manipulates the look, but paint pen helps to remove the scratches easily and in addition to that it is available in all the colors, no matter whatever color a car might have.

It's interesting.  I'm 5'10" and when I'm sitting on the Yager I'm always on the balls of one or both feet.  In the garage I have a very smooth concrete floor and any pine straw or sand and it's a real surprise to lose footing frequently.  

I dropped a 750 years ago as I was trying to get on the bike.  Really it just tipped over :-).  Just one little misjudgement or lack of attention.

Only once have I turned the Yager off by the switch and then leaned her over only to be surprised that the kick stand was not down.  Caught it in plenty of time :-)

I took the Yager down a dirt road a few weeks ago.  Let me just say that this scooter ain't meant for dirt.  It's ok on the pack but on the loose sand the Yager is like a golf ball in a sand trap.  Thunk.
