Slowly but surely... I was impressed when I came back from the winter season and ordered some parts getting ready for the riding season and saw the improvements in some of the sites.

Wot u mean "riding season"?  ???

You mean Jan-Dec, thats my season  ;D

I tend to get withdrawl symptoms if i dont ride every day, had stuff to get home from work yesterday so took the car, hated every minute of it.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

Well Michigan winters are tough. 5 degree Fahrenheit days and a footed snow provide a challenge for me. I do drive a 2002 cavalier though, it's as closes you can get to a scooter while still being a car Hahahaha..... Aside from those damn Smart cars.

You want to try Scottish winters  :o they start around sept/oct and go thro till april/may.

If the road is clear and gritted then i ride, even if it is snowing. Think i only missed about 2wks last year due to a real heavy snowfall, couldnt even drive the car in it. I would like some studded tyres, if it wasnt such a hassle to swap wheels on the A50 i would buy a spare set of wheels and have them ready for winter with the studs fitted to swap over. Way too much bother tho swapping them over.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

Hmmmmm......... ......no.  ;D even i wouldnt risk it in snow like is in that vid on the link. They do look good tho, but i'd be worried they flew off and hit someone  :o

I'll stick to my snowboard when the real snow arrives.  :)

I tried clamp-on's about 15 years ago. They roll over, and cut into the tire sidewall. One broke, and wound up inside the chain casing. I have used screw in studs with no issues.
