Differences Between 500R and 500 EVO?
« on: July 20, 2012, 03:27:17 PM »
Trusted Forum Members:

I am itching to buy a new 2012 500 R ABS in Pewter - But - before I plunk down my hard-earned money I have some questions:

1.  Are there differences - other than cosmetic - between the 500 R ABS and the 500 EVO?

2.  Has anyone heard of any plans to import the EVO into the U.S. Market?

I'll reply to one of my own questions.  I spoke with Kymco and they are not going to import the 500 EVO for 2013.  I guess the earliest would be 2014.

Interesting, I hope this does not change Kymco Canada's plans. The Canadian rep told me that Canada would get the Xciting EVO and the MyRoad for 2013 with pricing to be announced sometime round October.
Now from the US it sounds like the EVO and the MyRoad might not show up until 2014 down south... I know we don't always get the same models, as shown by the People 300GT not being available in Canada only the 200, But it does seem a little odd that we would bring in the newer Xciting without it being in the US, and the MyRoad is a whole nother story being the mythical creature it is...

 Hmm...
