Kymco 2009 People S 125 or 2012 Super 8 150
« on: July 21, 2012, 03:11:04 AM »
Hello Everyone

I'm new to this site and I'm hoping to make the giant leap from a 1979 CADY moped to a Kymco Scoot.  I visited my local Kymco dealer to check out the 2012 Super 8 150.  Beside it was a "new" 2009 People s 125 deeply discounted. What would you do?  Is there much difference between the 2.  I'm just looking for your honest opinion. Thanks for taking the time to respond!

I had to choose between a People 200s and a Super 8 150.  The dealer let me ride both of them.  I chose the Super 8.  The 200s was bigger, more comfortable and had more power but it handled like crap.  Maybe something was wrong with it.  The Super 8 cost less and was just more fun to ride so I picked it.  I'd recommend seeing if the dealer will let you ride both of them.

If you can show ability to pay the dealer better let you ride both, hell how do they expect you to plunk down a grand or 3 without so much as a test ride?

Never rode a super 8 but have  a 200s, it rides stright up and I like it very much, it's certainly not a sport bike.
