Read my original comment again. I said it is good IF you will not be riding for an extended period of time. I use one in the winter as I do not ride when it is cold, from about November through March. Other than that, I have never hooked up a battery tender and have never had battery problems either. If it makes someone feel better, by all means hook one up every day.
Sonic: It's not a "Feel Better Issue" Simply by investing $25.00 in a battery tender, you're extending the life of your battery. Not to mention that everytime you crank-up your scooter, you know it's @ it's best.
Our small 12-Volt batteries cost like $60.00 (average price) @ least for a Yuasa batteries. Yes...You can buy a cheap Chinese knock-off for half the price but why do that? So...You're not a fan of battery tenders? That's fine. I say....Invest short-coin & know that your battery is fully charged all of the time.
