Protecting tabs on the snap on plastic body parts
« on: September 19, 2012, 03:15:56 PM »
My friend took his Vespa scooter to have a headlight replaced under warranty and the guy showed him how to put a dab of white lithium grease on the tabs of the body panels when you remove them.
I was so pleased with the ease of snapping back together and taking apart the next time (think spark plug removal and valve adjustment) that when I went with my friend to his dealer I gave that mechanic a $5 tip and said thanks lunch is on me for that tip.
Enjoy,
