The one on the right is for testing. If you take it out your scoot gets loud at can be. I saw no power or speed gain. I had to see for myself.

Like Pimpy said, that's where you stick the probe for exhaust gas analyzer. I think it is an 8 mm hex and the threads are about 4 mm. I imagine it is loud!
