Dremmel tool is the mother of invention
« on: October 24, 2012, 12:01:56 AM »
Hey all!

A little while ago, on a monday, I got backed into.  This is my fender after the accident.

That night I got to thinking.. what the heck and in about an hour, a little car vinyl trim, and a dremmel tool...

Not too bad.  Many of my friends told me to leave it just like that.

Yeah, looks fine. If it were me tho i would expect a brand new and painted mudguard for my scoot payed for by the person who backed into you, or their insurance. You did nothing wrong so why should you lose out and have a damaged scoot?

I got rear ended at a junction last year and i only had minimal damage to the scoot but i made sure any damaged parts got replaced ny the other drivers insurance. Had no probs at all, they paid out in 4-6weeks for new scoot parts.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

Sorry to mislead.  It got repaired for under $90 within a week.  I keep the old, modified fender around should I ever decide to go back.  The whole experience was actually not too bad.
