top 4 scooters of taiwan 1 KYMCO,2 SYM,3 PGO.4 TGB.Kymco is a Taiwanese company that manufactures motor scooters, motorcycles, and ATVs. As the largest scooter manufacturer in Taiwan, the company was founded in 1963 to make parts for Honda. The company built its first complete scooter in 1970 and began marketing under KYMCO.    .SYM Sanyang Industry Co., Ltd. (traditional Chinese: 三陽機車; pinyin: Sān Yáng JÄ« ChÄ“) was founded in Taipei in 1954 by Huang Ji-Jun. The company's headquarters is established in Hsinchu, Taiwan and SYM's three major production bases are in Taiwan, China and Vietnam. The company manufactures and sells scooters, motorcycles and ATVs under the SYM brand.     PGOPGO Scooters is a brand of motorscooter manufactured by Motive Power Industry, a scooter manufacturer founded in Taiwan in 1964.

PGO entered into a technical collaboration with Italy’s Piaggio (the manufacturer of the Vespa) that lasted from 1972-1982.[1]

PGO Scooters, in the United States, are imported/distributed by Genuine Scooters and its models are known there as the Buddy, Rattler, and Roughhouse.                                                                TGB TAIWAN GOLDEN BEE  1-1. Mr. C. F. Chang established Taiwan Vespa Co. Ltd. In the year of 1965 under the license of Italian Piaggio Co. for the Vespa Scooter production.

In Germany, Kymco has by far the best reputation.
But its importer "MSA" has a great share of this success.

While Sym vehicles are competitive also, their importer "Sachs" failed miserably, became insolvent, leaving dealers and customers alone.
And then Sym wasn't fair and didn't grant support for the Sym vehicles imported by Sachs.

While Sym sales where collapsing, Kymco made a deal with BMW motorcycles.
The brand new (just arrived in Germany) Downtown 300 and Myroad 700 are the first Kymco scooters with "state of art" technology in direct competition with the japanese manufacturers.
