I wear battery operated heated fleece gloves by CORE.  They work well.  I just took them out of storage and wore them yesterday.  Batteries were still charged.  WWW.COREHEAT.NET OR 866.371.HEAT.

Just so I can compare, how far at roughly what speed could you ride in 35F and still have warm hands?

I rode for about 45 minute in 30 something degrees weather at about 45 MPH.
I was okay for about the first 30 minutes.
Then we stopped for dinner, and hour later we rode 45 minutes back home.
My hands were hurting by the time we got home.

I ordered the big mitts that Pimp recommended.
They looked a little big - but so many users raved about them that for $8 I couldn't go wrong.

The longest I have ridden with the gloves was about 45 minutes at 35-37 F.  At the end of the ride, my hands were very comfortable....not even a little cool.  There was some wind...I would estimate about 8-10mph.  I was traveling at an average speed of 30mph.  I tend to avoid long rides in cold weather, at least until I get my new full helmet....the 3/4 helmet is a little cold on the chinny, chin, chin.  By the way, the gloves were only $25 marked down from $60.  I can't find any brand name on them, but they have Thinsulate 70 gram for insulation.  Hope this helps.

These hand guards appear to be for scooters.

Plus they have LED lights on the 'forward' side - better visibility.

I have these hand guards.  I got them for the wind and they do reduce the wind a bit, but you still need more protection.  The gloves and the hand guards do the job.  The lights are neat.

How long was your wife's ride, at what temp & speed ?

I got the bigger ATV mitts, recommended by Pimpy, for my Yager as it has longer handlebars.
I've not tried them yet.

Did anyone else notice the handguards that Pimp recommended on Amazon are now about $5 more !

I think they have automated price increases - when interest on an item goes up so does the price.

The price is probably going up due to seasonal price increase.

I should have grabbed some at the lower price!

I don't ride much when it's below 50 degrees. This time of year
there are lots of leaves and acorns around to make things fun on the bike.

I have mine in the cellar getting some "tweaks" but might take it out this weekend
as it's supposed to be 60 on Sunday!

Just a quick word of thanks.  Those ATV mitts you recommended work great - my hands were very warm.

My wife and I rode 88 miles today, at speeds between 45-60MPH.  The temp was about 45F.
This is practically a heat wave compared to last week.  But once it gets really cold again, I'll be ready.

My wife called them "sissy mitts."  I just laughed !

Great, glad they worked out. I saw on the amazon photo someone put tarp grommets and made holes for the mirrors to go through. When I lived in Europe most of the people left their mits and skirts on the scoots all winter. The skirts make a big difference. You can keep your dress shoes clean on the way to work.

It was about a 1.5 hour ride at 38MPH in b4low 40 degree weather. They are not as warm as her Tucano Urbano ones, but we forgot to bring them to the rally.
