"Ballpark" calculations . . cash option of around $190 million each, less around 40% federal and state taxes would net around $114 million . . invested in VWEHX would yield around $20,000 PER DAY dividends (before taxes).

...projected powerball jackpot..

..$360,000,000.00 cash...

Thats just ridiculous. Who really need that much money, really? Better to make 360 millionaires imo than one fool taking it all.

If i won, which i wont cos its past now and i dont live in the US, but if i did win, i would take a couple of Mill and give the rest to charities, friends and good causes. I have no real use for all that cash myself, way, way too much.

This guy was a cause celebre over here a few years back when he won $15.4m on our lotteries at 19, wtf did they expect a poorly educated  19 yr old kid to do with all that cash?  " Soon after winning his fortune, Carroll stated he would not be tempted into spending his money lavishly and only wanted to buy a 3-bedroom house near a lake, where he could go fishing" Then when the party was over........... " He spent his multi-million fortune on illegal drugs, gambling, and prostitutes over the next few years before declaring bankruptcy and returning to the £42 a week in jobseeker's allowance he had been claiming before.[2] He has since made two suicide attempts" , " Carroll had reportedly spent almost his entire fortune within 18 months on extravagant houses, cars for demolition derby races in his back garden, and gold jewellery.".  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Carroll_(lottery_winner)

You got Rednecks, we got Chav's.

Money does not always make folks happy or better off. It'd be 50/50 whether i ended up in a box within a year or lived out my life happily on my island in the sun.

Chaos is my co-pilot.

WTF ???

£50,000 would be a job stopper for me, seriously!

Pay offs maybe coming to our place after new year, i would seriously consider applying for voluntary redundancy if the package offered was acceptable. Been there 13-14yrs now so i would be due at least a £20,000 pay off. If i can raise enough to clear the remainder of my mortgage i may well go for it, just need to do the maths after they make their offer, if it come up. I can quite easily then just piss about doing my own thing, and not worry about much at all  ;D

thats not enough to suport you for 3 years....
even 500,000 would only last 30 years max. ok if invested wiseley then it may be possable to live till your old age.
if it was me though id end up spending half that in a year on a new house car bike etc. id have to open some form of bank acount for kids if anything happend to me. 3 kids so another 75k gone. id put the rest in an bank so gove dont know about it. just to grow interest.

I would finish my scooter project. I would design a Cylinder head with variable valve lift and DOHC, where the camshafts could be turned a little bit from its gear, so the valve overlap could be adjusted and the powerband could be controlled very precisely. I would then pay for Malossi to produce this, the tuners dream. :D
