I hear that Big Blue!  The sun is bright here, which makes the cold air crisp. Should be warming up here by the weekend.
Have been invited to spend some time in the warmer state of Az......may be posting online from there here shortly.

I spent time there as a kid. I am an amateur astronomer and really enjoyed the night skies...Len

I went through there on a Grayhound bus on the fourth of July once!

It's hot there but it's a dry heat!

I was there for three weeks in late August. It was 115 in the daytime and 85 at night. I got to visit old Tombstone AZ and the OK corral. The desert at night is really beautiful and the starry skies are AMAZING! Len

I am so glad I do not live there. I grew up in NYC and I have been living in Vegas baby for the last 19 years. Highs here call for mid sixties. In the summer time it is a dry heat. No sweat.

My family was in Vegas and near Kingman Az last year at this time.......it was nice.
I don't like super hot weather, nor do I like frigid cold.
What do you do in Vegas for work.   I can imagine working on the "strip" as be interesting for about a day and a half.

Carol,
I am currently looking for work. The job market has been tough here, but I am currently going to school.  For fun, we don't do the strip tourist thing unless we have friends, or family in town. I love going hiking up at Red Rock Canyon, Mount Charleston, and going up to St. George, Utah with one of the local hiking clubs here. I go riding with my favorite scooter club in town which is the Nevada Scooter Brigade. We love riding, and trying new things.  Vegas is like any other city in terms of recreational opportunities. There are more unique restauants here then else where. This year there are two new water parks opening up which is a good thing. The one social media site which changed my life for the better has been meetup.com. There are all kinds of social groups on there and I have met so many wonderful people from the groups on there. Happy trails to you. ;D

KingKymco125,

You just had to mention St. George didn't you?  Zion Nat'l Park is one of my favorite places in the world.  I was there 3 years ago and can't wait to go back.  My wife spent a week in Las Vegas, and didn't spend more than a few hours in town...went to Red Rock, Zion, and the Grand Canyon and just used Vegas as  a central area to base out of.  Loved the weather in Vegas, but loved the scenery outside of Vegas more!!

Bleys:

St. George is a great little town.  Vegas is one of the few cities one can actually go scootering all year round. In the summer time, we go riding at night instead of the day time with it being too damn hot. Zion is one of my favorite places to go to. We have Lake Las Vegas which has free concerts during the spring and summer months every Friday and Saturday nights. This place is only 17 miles from the strip. My friend, there are ways to do Vegas on the cheap. Go downtown where you can get all the cheap drinks you want unlike the strip. The Plaza hotel has Pop Up Pizza which opened up last summer. This is some of the best pizza in town. Happy riding and keep safe.
