Seat Removal

Hey guys I'm trying to get my scooter ready to store for the winter and I was following the guide in this video.   I removed all the nuts/bolts to remove the seat, it is loose, but I can't seem to pull it over the oil cap. In the video his scooter does not have the oil cap in the same place so it didn't really help. It seems like I should just be able to pull it over the cap. I've used a fair amount of force but don't want to pull as hard as I can and end up breaking something before getting advice. 2012 model by the way if it makes a difference. Thanks in advance

if your point is to remove the battery this is very long way , you can remove the battery easier remove the nails then try with that thing which removes nails [sorry i dont know the name of it ] but not + one    - one try to remove the plastic

this kymco is super 8 150 model as far i knew in some videos i watched before
and this may be the difference

If you are working on a Super 8 50 2T, there is an additional rubber grommet piece just below the top of the oil tank. I think this is the obstacle you've found. Take the top off the oil tank, then work the rubber grommet off carefully - don't get any dirt in the oil tank, and the storage compartment will lift out easily. I just did this recently for the first time on my new scooter to check the spark plug.
