AH has nothing to do with charge rate, deep draw batteries can have the same AH but are designed to be charged/discharged at a much lower rate than a vehicle battery used for cranking.

I have a nice small deep cycle battery I use on the scoot for back up. works nice and it fits under my seat so I can use it for a spare. Nice thing about it its a acid free one.

cold weather battery I bought a balistic battery , cranks the motor at 20 below c.  , if it doesnt start, wait 30 sec. and do it again, it feels like twice the power to the starter,. it seems to warm the battery up, or some thing, good for us living in the great white north,    Ottawa ont.
