Starting Issue
« on: November 20, 2013, 02:14:20 PM »
Hello,

Recently, my less than 2 year old Agility 125 does not start.   The lights will come on and the fuel gauge will move but I hit the electric starter and I get nothing no signs of anything happening just silence.

Usually, when that happens I can kick start after a few kicks.  Sometimes after a few kicks the electric starter will work again.  Also, sometimes I just have to try the electric starter a few times before it works.   Sometimes it works for days without the issue and then it just comes back.

Any ideas?

Since your query apparently reflects your lack of wiring diagram comprehension, and multi-meter testing aptitude . . this issue may be covered under the Kymco 2-year limited warranty.

Sounds like you have a loose connection somewhere. Tighten the battery cables. Trace the battery cables to the other ends and tighten them too. You may just need a new battery. Two years isn't a long time, but it's not impossible that your battery is worn out.

Hello my friend,

Sounds to me you have a similar problem as I did last year. Any problems with the brake lever? Try using the other brake lever to start it and see what happens.
I thought the problem was a flat battery with my one but it wasn't. The mechanic said it was the brake lever not triggering once you press the started button.
