MassScoot I think you are right about him wanting to upsize but now is not the time to knock him. he just bought one so it's a done deal. Better to let him enjoy it for now and who knows for sure it may be all he needs. Maybe his use for it is only within city limits and he won't need speeds over 40.
On the same note I was thinking of going slightly larger in CC's myself, I am a little disappointed with my MPG and realized it was mainly because was doing a bunch of city riding and max RPM riding when I got onto secondary roads, so my MPG was in the high 50's low 60's range. My problem with going bigger is that I don't have a bunch of room in my garage so maybe a 250cc would be all I could do if I switched. For now I'll keep my max speed at 45- 50 MPH and save on some fuel not to mention beating up the engine.
08: I hope
newscooter didn't think that I was "knocking" him. Just that many of us has gone down the upgrade route. I owned a People S200 (Red) the 1st year it came out & loved it! I shouldn't have traded it in my a Suzuki TU-250X. Big mistake on my part. That scoot was bullet proof! Keep it. I miss just how nimble the S200 was vs. my GTi300. Top end of the S200 was just ok...maybe around 62-64MPH. As I recall it had something like 11.1HP? That's good enough if you ask me. Newscooter wanted that Ivory People S50 brand new & he found one. I'm glad for him.
