1500 torque spring length and problems!!

I just purchased a 1500 naraku torque spring and went to install and can't get the belt back on! So I took it back off and measured the new spring from the stock and the new one is 4in and the old one 3 and 5/8! Is this a problem it said it was for a kymco 50. Also I went and put the origanal back on and it was extremely hard to get the belt back on!

maybe the torque spring is for 50cc 2 stroke!?
though, it shouldn't be a problem to run this spring on ag50 as long as it fits on the plate and  assembly is put together as it should

remove spring and try if the torque driver is moving free and is not stuck.
if original spring worked before, there is no reason why it shouldn't work now.
also, clean it thoroughly, check seals and apply high tepmerature grease

Yea called my dealership and asked they said 4 in shouldn't be a problem! They said get a friend to help put the belt on why I hold it open! It isn't stuck but can't believe how hard it is to pull back the plate every fits fine. My scoot only has 2300 km on it and is brand new but am going to degrease and put some new grease! If the spring is harder to pull back thats just telling you its doing its job. Sometimes its best to put the belt on the clutch befor you put it on the bike.

The spring should be harder to push than stock that's how it raises the RPM to engage.
I've had the stock spring get harder when the collar wasn't bottomed or the slots were
binding. I now try the 3 different slots to find the easiest to turn before reassembling.
If all else fails figure a way to hold it compressed until you get the belt on. I do it on
the bench then clip the belt together while I bring it to the scoot...

Thanks I put on the belt before putting the clutch back on the bike!
