Compression zx/50
« on: May 01, 2013, 09:56:19 PM »
What is the compression supposed to be on a ZX/50? What is the low end so i know if i have to replace or bore head. its like $75 for a head. which route should i go that's least expensive.? The reason i think its getting no gas is because my oil line came off a cpl times so im leaning towards a jug problem rather than carb as far as not getting gas to the cylinder. my problem is im not getting gas. not opposed to getting a bigger head as long as it will maintain the reliability of the scooter. any suggestions on how to proceed? it's a '94 with around 16km's on it.

Dam dude, I know this is old thread now.
I hope you have it worked out now... A low end would be 90?..(be a bitch to start too)... should be like 110-120psi.
You can just "clean" the cylinder and swap out piston/rings if that is the issue you have.
May have burnt the piston if the oil line came off multiple times
