michelin tires

   does anyone know the differance ,.   michelin pilot power pure    and  michelin power pure  the spec.s read the same but there is a price differance                                ____

From what I have read the Pilot Power Pure is more of a dual compound tire with less hard rubber in the center and more softer rubber on the edges. They are also supposed to be lighter than the Pilot Power tires. I have no experience with them so I don't know how one wears versus the other. Good luck on your tire choice.

It sounds like the same tire. The City Grip has a single compound but uses fancy sipes towards the edges of the tire for water drainage.

I've just done 5,000km with one of the new Michelin City Grip tyres on the rear wheel. It performed flawlessly. It's not the grippiest of tyres, but just as good as the Gold Standard or Pilot City. The important bit was the grip in the wet, which was excellent. i never felt a rear-wheel twitch except when the surface was a bit greasy - and any tyre would give that much feedback, and most might slide a lot more.
 
The wear (or lack of wear!) is astonishing. Apart from about 500km of more gentle pace, 4,500km was at the best speed achievable for the road conditions, and there has been almost no centre-line wear.

I thought the Power Pure was just someone's way of saving words... Pilot Power Pure is a mouthful.

   I just ordered power pure tires 2 rear tires and 1 front tire,. the front tire lasts but the rear tire gos in 11.000 km.s  down to the thread,.  and I found out the differance in power pure tires one is radial,.

I think the Power Pure SC Radial comes in a 120/70-15 front and a 160/60-15 rear. Likely for a very particular scooter. The regular Power Pure SC fits a range of sizes.
