Don't look Ethell~!
« on: August 25, 2013, 03:05:15 AM »
My LIKE 200i seat rebuild.
Used a belt sander this time.....
Waiting on the Sailrite AllSport black vinyl with 4-way stretch.
Might put just a touch more of the blue foam on.
2 hour ride this morning and forgot I was sitting on a LIKE~!
Can sit up front, or slide way back against that contoured rebond foam or even sit directly on the ridge. Weird to have my knees out of the wind behind the shield.
Have never been past 40 mins without having to get off the stock seat.
Use the stock seat for work - this mother for w/e rides with the old cover bungeed on (0'Dark:30  so no one can see)

You know, it was only very recently that I noticed the weird ridge in the seat.  Seeing these pictures is giving me some ideas...maybe over the winter I'll buy an extra seat and do some experimenting.

I had planned to pull the old foam for the rebuild - but that plastic seat pan is like the cratered surface of the moon - so I foamed over the stock foam in order to start with a level surface. (after shaving off that foam half ring on the seat top)
I have seen another LIKE seat on eBay - be aware that the LIKE 50cc seat is the same as the LIKE 200i seat, foam and seat pan - though the under seat bucket is different. My eBay seat was from a wrecked 50cc LIKE and after I unbolted it from the bucket it fastened to my 200i bucket perfectly.
