if your under warranty.im not sure the warranty in your service shop will change them to weights dunno my scoot is out of warranty so i did them myself.there are video's on how to change them.there not that difficult to do.but i will warn you if your a little hesitant  to do it find someone to do it.you have to make sure you torque everything back down to specs..i had a burgman 400 that's where i learned to do it.it was trial and error for me and trail was ok but the error's i made hit my wallet pretty hard.but after doing it several times ive also saved myself $$$$$$$$$'s to.it depends on the repair or service shops but they can be very costly to.Good luck

   The only difference with downtowns seems to be age ,. so when you order your sliders tell them the age of scooter, he older ones were 6 sliders it seems, and the new ones for north america have 8 sliders,  and in the US we do not have ABS,.
