Need better mirrors !!

Had another car turn out of a side street behind me and then pass me on the right this morning. (well over the speed limit)
Did not see them as my mirrors are not convex enough to see the lanes beside me. I can see behind me in my lane, and some portion of the adjoining lanes behind me....but if a car gets almost beside me I do not see it. And yes, I try hard to keep an eye on what's coming behind me at all times, in all lanes - but on rough roads with heavy expansion joints a dark vehicle can sneak up in my vibrating mirrors.

I have long stemmed mirrors with a 4" convex mirror, so not too much room to add another mirror onto the existing disc - plus it is not flat glass. Is there something I could add to the stalk ? These are long stemmed, which I know adds to the blurred image due to vibration, but they are 10mm, not 8mm, and I do need the length to see around my large torso - the stock mirrors gave me a wonderful view of my shoulders. Period.

OK, thanks, went out and looked at where this might fit on my LIKE. Instructions on their site say to place below the arms. Don't like that because I hate to be looking that far down into the cockpit - taking my eyes off the road. I even resist looking at the speedo for the same reason. With my helmet it is not an eye glance, but a head movement. Too much in heavy urban traffic.
I have my mirrors swung around so that they are close to my line of sight, in front.
Maybe on top the head light?
Expensive for a piece of plastic with expensive mounts - and no US distributor.

I suggest looking into bar end mirrors. They mount to the end of the handle bars and give you much better view around the side of your shoulders. I'm thinking about switching to those. Of course now that one of my mirrors is ruined I would like something else. Check out the Modern Buddy website. There's a guy on there who installed some on his Buddy and they look great and seem to be extremely functional.

From another forum got pointed to these.
They  mount on your mirror stem so you don't have to look down - German made - cost less than the central curved mirror.
Down side: make my LIKE look like one of those 60's UK Vespas with a plethora of mirrors.

they sale a small camra at walmart its for cars and trucks so you can watch for deer and other things in front of you. I have a friend that put it on his scoot and its faceing backwords so he can see whats comeing up on behide him. you can use it as a video camra to works great.you just have to have the little tv part up front were you can see it.
