MyRoad 700 review
« on: September 27, 2013, 12:39:53 AM »
Found this new review of the MyRoad 700 from Kymco.
http://www.justgottascoot.com/myroad.htm

Strange that they would take on the BMW, Burgman and the Silverwing at very similar prices.
Sure can't see Kymco selling many of these in the States unless they drop their price about $1500.
Maybe to a buyer who has only the Kymcos to choose from. If the others are on the same dealer's floor - that  2014 Myroad will be sitting there in 2017 at a nice discount.
Kymco does nothing to sell their nice products in the States. When you're ready to drop $10,000 on a scooter, you are not coming home with some "Chinese scooter" you've never heard of. "Chinese", "Taiwanese" - what-ever - it's not made in Japan!
BMW, Suzuki, & Honda have spent $$ and years building their reputations - while Kymco has done nothing in N. America to move their products. Probably they just do not sell enough here to feel an effort is warranted.
I love my bargain Kymco,
Just sayin.....

In Germany the Myroad is much cheaper than its competitors:
Myroad 8499€, Burgman 650Z 10490€, C650GT 11550€.

I just rode on that one today. I think it fits a little better then my DT300 but don't want to spend that amount of money on it.

Maybe it's a scooter for those replacing a cruiser bike?
