Speculating this re-poster will never be satisfied until their engine has "expired".

Yes, the salesperson should be able to answer.
But imho: a cdi box is not high performance anyway.

Btw: the real cdi is defined by Daimler Benz patent #39733470.2 and means common rail direct injection. (For diesel engines.)

Sorry, but I'm not the salesperson of this item.
Obviously many salesperson would promote their items as "high performance", usually without going much into technical details.
But with those details provided, the question might be more complicated than assumed.

(I am a only simple minded person and believe in OEM parts.)

OEM all the way for me as well. Use what was meant for your scooter. Kymco parts are solid & not that expensive compared to other scooter manufacturers. Plus...they simply work.

Moped Leaner: You never once stated what scooter you own. Any insight?

"High Performance" is a general terminology used to describe a thing that is performing better than the average thing... It is also used as a marketing term to boost the products' image... It's the same as "Super Power" or "Extra" or a lot of other adjectives....  Maybe the only way to know is to actually test the PERFORMANCE of that cdi... and report back for all to know... Thank you...
