Ouch, bummer TroutBum.
I'm sorta in the same boat, tore the calf muscle on my left leg last Saturday. Can't work (I am a carpenter, self employed so no wc) but can still ride the scoot... the beauty of a shiftless motorcycle.
Get better soon.
DadGum Cosmo....You too?
I do maintenance for the county.....with a union, so I've got sick time, etc.
When I throw out the bearings on something (knee, collar bone, shoulder) I can take time off---
Trully wish all folks could say the same. I know how fortunate I am in today's economy.
Lately some of the parts just seem to be wearing out - I wasn't exactly a kid when I started there 26 yrs ago after working for the Airforce as a civilian. (& snagged that job only because I was a VietNam veteran)
Hopefully McDonald's will still have their hire an old scooterist when I need them.
Take care - heal quickly - ride safe!
