visor replacement

My visor on my full face is getting marred up, a bit scratched etc. are they an easy replace are any brands better then the others, what should I expect to pay?

Very easy to replace. What kind of helmet do you have. Most visors are around $25 give or take.

I have a mechanic visor on my Scorpion helmet. I think I paid around $25 for a replacement. It was quick and easy to swap out old for new. You shouldn't have any issues changing out yours.

Visors do not have standard designs and shapes.. a visor of a different brand might not fit your helmet...   Unless there are special visor brands that make them for most helmet brands....

I also have three exo-100 , 200 and 2000.

I think the best buy is the EXO-200 now replaced by the  EXO 250. The 200 could be had for under a hundred bucks and it was both DOT and SNELL, I know there are differing thoughts on this.
It's interesting that the new 250 has nothing saying its SNELL.

It also came with a clear shield and a visor.

I don't know the name of it without looking at it. Bike is in the garage until at least the weekend, we've got a Nor' Easer hitting the coast right now and they think it's going to stall over us. Will get back as soon as I'm able to ride safely again.

AMAC: I own 2 Red (Bright Red, not Burgundy color) EXO-200's. These are half-faced helmets & I scored another because I loved my original so much. As I recall, I paid $129.00 from my local dealer, then found the 2nd one on ebay for $100.00 shipped. I also have the EXO-100 which I love! It's my summer scooter helmet. You got to love the retractable visor on the EXO-100. You're correct. The EXO-200 has both DOT & SNELL rated. Maybe Scorpion is cutting some corners? Either way, They really make a real solid helmet for the price if you ask me. I have never looked beyond Scorpion. I know here's some decent mid-priced helmets made by HJC etc. But (like you) I'll stay with Scorpion myself.

OK the helmet is made by H J C. Any clues? When looking at the helmet front view there is a black plastic switch on the right or drivers view left side, but when I click it nothing much seems to happen.

Like I mentioned before, get the original visor for your specific helmet model to match...

Btw, that switch on the side is a lock to prevent the shield from flying open during high speeds...

On all HJC visors there is a model number of the visor on it. Once you have that you can order one that will fit. Or if you know the model number of the helmet I can also help you out that way.
