Width of Grand Dink (Vista) 250
« on: October 18, 2013, 06:04:34 PM »
Greetings,

I'm looking to get a 250cc scooter for commuting, and noticed that a nearby shop has a leftover Grand Dink 250 in stock at a discounted price. Since my commute involves some filtering, I'd like to know the widest width of this scooter. The user's manual states that the "overall width" is "770 mm". However, since the mirrors fold inward, does this mean the width would be less when they are folded in?

Thanks in advance

Many thanks.

So, 75cm is the magic number then. That's about on par with the Forza and Majesty.
When I have time, I'll head over to the dealer with a tape measure and double check.

The Grand Dink is starting to grow on me...especially the 12" wheels oddly enough.

I really like mine.  My DH tries to get me interested in other scooters, but no luck so far.
I look and then go home to ride my GV250

scoot safely,

I bought my 2005 GV 250cc used for $2000 a little over two years ago on craigslist with 2600 mi and 2nd owner.  Now I have 11K on it.  The power mirrors and nice and I use them way more than I thought I would.  If you get a good deal go for it!  12 inch tires are good but... you will scrape when cornering or hitting bumps.  Otherwise it is a great compromise between full blown highway machine and in town only 100cc scoot.
