GTi on the Freeway/highway
« on: October 30, 2013, 11:29:20 AM »
Finally got a chance to get my GTi out on the highway for an extended high speed ride. Rode it 100 miles, of which 80 was fast on the highway and freeway (posted 65 & 75mph). This machine really goes! I even had a 20 knot crosswind changing to a headwind for most of the ride. Very comfortable cruising at these speeds and higher. Every time I ride it I am further impressed with it. What a great scoot!

have you ever tried the 300i downtown I wonder if they are the same to ride,. with the bigger wheels the GT must be more stable at speed,.

I haven't tried the Downtown, but I know Cortez has, and hopefully he will chime in on this question.

The DT is very stable on the freeway. I used to have a TNG with 16 inch wheels and at higher speeds it was not real stable, you always had to keep both hands on it. With the DT you can ride with one hand if you needed to. But I do love the acceleration that the motor gives you on these scoots.
