High Performance Parts

Hello, has anyone tried to tune their Like 200i with one of these?

I've seen a few sites with these and am curious about them. I want to see what people have done with this. How did it affect the mpg and power?

Don't waste your money because it will not work on the Like 200i.  Here's why.  In order to wire this in place, you have to have access to the intake air temp wires as well as the oxygen sensor wires.  While we can get to the oxygen sensor wires, we can not get access to the intake air temp wires unless you were to take the computer apart as it is bolted on to the throttle body.

All this box does is fool the computer into thinking the intake air is colder than what it actually is.  The computer will then inject more fuel and increase the timing slightly.  Here's the problem.  If the scooter is already running at an optimum air/fuel ratio, running richer will actually decrease the power.  The slight increase in ignition timing is not enough to get you any power increase with a richer air/fuel mix.

These "performance" boxes are common with automobiles and have been proven to not work at all.

If you want to increase your power, get a GPR exhaust and bolt that on.  GPR says that their exhaust gave a Like 200i a 2 1/2 hp increase.  Be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for it though.

I have not tried it, but I seriously want to.  This GPR pipe is about the only one that I have found.  I did find it for $350 shipped on Ebay though, about $30 cheaper.
