Taiwanese for seats open stupid! I have been wondering and joking about this myself. Wish you didn't have to turn the key on to open the seat - I know I will eventually forget its on and run my battery down. My Aprilia opens just by twisting the key - you don't have to turn it on.

On the P250 (
not the PS250, which I can't tell ya about, never having experienced one), turn the key left, and the seat latch opens
with the engine off. With the engine
on, push-and-turn-left opens the seat without shutting off the engine.
There's a "Met-In" light on the instrument cluster to tell if the seat is open, as well. I removed the underseat light, and carry an LED flashlight, instead, btw.
