Ordered one of these from Amazon the other day.
Finally found something that will cover the neck and chest from the wind blast at 20 degrees

And if I lose my scooter maybe I could get a job as a human canon ball in the circus.


I received this in the mail today.
Tried it on at 4:30 pm - it is now almost 8:00 - the kids just stopped laughing.
My daughter told my son to ,"Come see dad's new Al-Qaeda hat!"
OK, better not wear it when I go in to pay for my gas, or to deposit my pay check.

I was able to stay warm except for the top of my hands.

My scooter book says that if you do not have heated grips, the best thing to do is get the scooter handlebar mitts (which are so popular with delivery scooter guys) They velcro on your bars and you slip your hands into them.

That is my issue as well.  I don't have a way to prevent fogging, so I have to lift the visor now and again or keep it cracked.  Which leads to cold air getting in and that wind chill issue we were talking about.   Perhaps that is another thread?

Those 'PinLock' things which add a second layer inside your face shield are supposed to stop fogging.
I haven't tried them.

I wear a Shoei Neotec helmet.  It has Pinlocks and it works great.  I use Fogtech DX on my sun visor and  the visor doesn't fog up.  Last year, I didn't use anything on my sun visor.  It was always fogging during the winter, so I would have to either crack my shield or raise my visor up.

I don't know what helmets y'all are using, but mine only fogs up when I cough, but literally within a second it clears up with the visor closed.  My helmet has vents that I can open or close at the top of it, and by my chin.

That chin vent I can never figure out - some place I kept the instructions for this HJC helmet. Actually, never know which is what on those top vents , either. My Big Guy Amerikan Nose can fog up the F-150 behind me if I get too excited. Yeah, it's that kind of a Nose !

You're right.  I'm in Texas but I have ridden in 37 degree weather and never had a problem with my visor fogging up.  Like I say, when it did fog up, it quickly dissipated.

Alpinestars City Collection textile jacket with built in armor/with winter quilted lining (and a fleese lined hoodie underneath.)

Joe Rocket Diva tectile pants with built in knee armor (and leggings with feese lining underneath.)

Gor-tex gauntlet gloves over my jacket sleeve to keep the wind out / finger tips don't get all the way to the end, so the air can circulate.

Forma Boot Diamond Black with cotton socks (water proof with excellent grip .. good in summer & winter.)

Echo Kit by Global Vision riding glasses (interchangeable lenses and doesn't block prefereral vision.)

Full Face Arai (cracked open 1/4 inch only when I stop at a light.. for no fog.)

What State are you riding in?
Year  'round?
Daily commute in this gear? or only for leisure riding?
I just do the layers thing, because I have to get right into work mode.
Just take time to peel everything off, shuck my rain pants (help some in the cold) and start work.

Or pictures of the gear?
(My new dumblooking balaclava (which does not cover NEARLY as much as shown in the advert) helps a good bit - keeping neck/chin happy)

Nothing beats Gerbings...

Not sure if the Like 200i electrical system can support it for an extended period.
