Please help.....Super 8 150 problems
« on: November 13, 2013, 07:45:40 PM »
I left to go to work this morning and about 5 miles into my ride my scooter started bogging down and just cut off. It will start but if I give it any gas it just bogs down and shuts off. I removed the filter and replaced it and no difference...same thing happening. Any help at all would be appreciated. I just got a new job and this is my only transportation.

Observe if the carb slide and needle assembly is rising properly . . video.  If not, check diaphragm for tears.

I opened up the card and everything seems to be working properly. Put everything back and still getting the same results. I opened up the air breather and sprayed carb cleaner while at about 3/4 throttle and it revs up and starts backfiring. I checked the valve clearance and it is correct. Any more suggestions?

Everything I have tried has not made any difference in the way it is running. So far I have drained the fuel tank and replaced the fuel filter. I replaced the spark plug. I opened, inspected, and cleaned the carb. I replaced the gas cap. I checked for vacuum leaks. I checked and re-checked valve clearance. Nothing that I have done has made it run above idle. It starts and idles as it always has, but just as soon as I give it any throttle is starts bogging down. I have to walk away from it for the day..........just getting frustrated now. I am open to all suggestions.......if there is anything I have overlooked please please please help me figure this out. I have been working on this since 7am this morning and am my whits end. I even swapped out the cdi and that made no diffference as well.

Does it idle properly? and dies when you give gas? Hard starting?

The usual causes are kinked fuel line or vacuum line or one of the jets is clogged.

I got it figured out, and by the way if you had read my earlier post you would have seen that I had already checked all of that in the first place. Just saying.

I will say that it was not anything that anyone here suggested.

Everyone here was trying to help you out the best that they could so are you going to be a douche bag and not share what your solution was?
