Traded my 500 for a BMW C600 Sport

In the unlikely event that I have been missed, I traded my 500 for a BMW C600 Sport this last May.  I was browsing the local motorcycle mega shop and there was a new black metal flake BMW scoot just sitting right in front of me.  I took a beating on the trade but I couldn't help myself.  The performance is outstanding.

Naw, just joking.  I have to be honest if I wanted another payment I would probably trade my bike in on one as well.  The engine is a Kymco at least. 

I know there are several slightly used ones for sale right now as well.

Houndguy - the fact that the engine was manufactured by Kymco to BMW's design specs gave me confidence. I always enjoyed my Kymcos and the fact that a brand new scooter has an engine built by a company with scooter experience was a plus.  When I was trading in my Kymco the salesman was bad mouthing Kymco till I told him the foregoing piece of information.

How much for the C600 sport?  Our BMW dealer here has a demo unit for 7695 + tax it is sliver and has about 3000 miles on it.  I would love to own the big one. I need the storage under my can. I can not afford the shop rate at the bmw dealer.

The downside would be you will be paying "bmw price" for a kymco spare part that might fail in the future... Congrats on you new scoot!

That's not a bad price.  My bike came with the upgrade, i.e. heated grips and seat (a questionable necessity for South Texas) and by the time all the taxes, costs and fees were added it was somewhat in the 12K range.

This is one scooter where the old saying "if you have to ask what it costs you probably can't afford it" likely applies. It's pricey no doubt.  However the scoot comes with a 3 year warranty and I have a full service BMW dealership with factory trained mechanics and specialized tools for the bike. Kymco will supply the spare engine parts and the rest of the stuff will come from whatever source BMW uses.
