Hard starting
« on: November 19, 2013, 09:07:25 PM »
Hi guys, just thought I would run some things past you on here , see if you can shed any light for me.
I have a Agility 125. 8 years old, and been a great little bike for me. Anyway, I replaced my carb this year and since then have had some problems. I replaced my piston rings, after checking my piston and cylinder were ok with a trusted mechanic. I actually gapped the new rings at the service limit, wish I had of done it somewhere between the standard and the service limit now. Anyway, I have reasonable compression. The bike seems good when running, has power and shifts. The problem is, a bike which has always been a great starter has become more problemsome in this area. Typically, I push the start and it comes on for a second or two, and then turns off. It is then that it becomes really tough to start. Amy opinions gratefully acknowledged.

Did you replace with the same carb type?
