Transmission oil. Question time

What is the transmission oil lubricating? Rollers? Belt? Just trying to understand my machine more and more.

the belt and rollers are dry in a open case, no oil or grease,. the tranny lower part is the gears,this is where the # 90 gear oil is, take a look in your manual for the scooter you have,.

The oil lubricates the final drive, which multiplies torque and transmits power from the belt transmission to the rear wheel.

Wow. Thanks so much. You guys are great. Im running amsoil in everything because i do alot of interstate miles and thats what i ran in my 2003 Super 9 l/c in college. What do you guys run in your machines?

mobil 1 full syn. in car ,45,000 km van400,000 km. scooter 45.000 km. all run like new ,. old van i ton 560,000 km. ran great but the body died
