Air filter
« on: December 12, 2013, 08:42:48 AM »
Hello,

Searched my question, however I could not find the answer.

Can I wash the agility 50 air filter in soap and water? I realise you can with foam filters, but wasn't sure with this one.

Thanks

I would say proberly not.
Not familiar with the agility but my S8 filter is cardboard or paper. Use a airhose an blow it out or a vacuum clearner hose.
Good Luck..

I looked at my owner manual. It said that you'll need to clean it with compressed air. I don't think you could wash it with water.

if your fitler is like mine then don't wash it.  its a bunch of rubber/plastic with a paper style pleated filter.  just used compressed air and blos it out if needed and if too dirty the filters are cheap.

My air filter is getting dirty after 8500km driving. It might be about time to get it replaced. Do you know any reputable place that sells agility 50's air filter? Thanks! I am in USA.

your local dealer or racingplanetusa.com has them for like $20. Don't know if others have for cheaper they may.

Since i don't have a compressor, i usually just use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attatched to the sucking piece so it brushes the dirt loose and sucks it away. It is possible that it affects the filter to be as rough as to use a brush, but it becomes "clean" and reusable and can be done one or two times before it needs replacement.
