hey there,
i am new to the forum. been lurking around long enough, figured it was about time ti register :) i live in so cal. i ride a 2012 Xciting 500 RI abs. had it for 8-9 months, has just under 12k miles on it and my wife and i love it. i started on a 2012 Super8 150cc (first bike) about a year and a half ago that my wife and i bought to putt around on and see how we liked things and riding became a big part of our life so naturally..., we upgraded. i am looking forward to meeting some other kymco fans out there and getting to know some more scoot enthusiasts.

Yeah, welcome to the forum! Nice ride! Need a report on how the ABS works if you ever got that deep in the brakes. SoCal is one of THE great places for two wheels. I would like to take one more trip up Cal 78 or 79 or both to Julian for a cuppa coffee and some of their apple pie!

thanks and thanks. i actually have a few occasions (unfortunately) had to wrench on the brakes and have experienced the abs both at freeway speed and on the street. i am happy (and fortunate) to say that the abs works amazingly. and still feels stable when it kicks in. i feel comfortable and confident in it :) knock on wood. would rather not have to test it out though lol

Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to discuss the Kymco product. I currently ride a Agility 125 2012 and I love my bike. She is great. Happy rider fellow scoterist.

You lucky dog  -  I lived and rode in San Diego 25 years ago, I really miss the area, hope to move back some day.

The 250 is a bit underpowered for the xc frame, and makes riding a bit of a thinking game as the torque isn't there to pull out of trouble.  That 500 RI is a sweet looking ride!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and the compliments. Love my 500 :)

Ah bummer. Im sure its still enjoyable to ride though. Maybe a couple mods? Some sliders? What have you had your 250 up to, mph wise? You should move back, I am atleast one other xc to meet up and cruise with. :)
I love the 500. Thing is a beast.
