Roads mostly clear of ice!
« on: December 19, 2013, 08:49:16 PM »
Most of the snow and ice are off of the roads today.

...although my driveway is an adventure!

The scooter ran great, fired up immediately this cold morning after sitting for a week, and every time I hit the starter today. The City Grips kept me out of trouble when I day dreamed into a bit of snow on the roads. (yeah, I know....)

What a nice retro profile this scooter would have if you dropped off that rear hat box!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Nice!  Enjoy it when you can!!

Southern Wisconsin is getting freezing rain tonight, and anywhere from 6-12" of snow Sunday.   :(
Normal is boring.

Nice picture Cosmo !
(funny looking kid, tho)
Roads don't look too bad there...... or is that ice?
Does starting the scoot through the winter do bad stuff to the scoot?
ie: leave moisture inside, not charge but rather discharge the battery at idle?
I know all this stuff, but I have a friend who.....etc.

Ice, Stig.  Here are a few more pics from our morning walk.  Who said hell can't be beautiful:

And one of my poor truck:

We've got snow starting tonight, was supposed to start 3 1/2 hours ago but is late in arriving so I'm skeptical of the forecast 6-10".

I can't believe you're still riding, you are more of a man than I.  And no windscreen, you are not only tough but also a bit loco.

As for starting the scoot, I let it run for 20 minutes, long enough for the charging light to go out.  Who knows, with how the climate is changing I could be riding next week and want her ready to go!!

Normal is boring.

Crappy roads filled with ice ruts and -12F this morning. :o Hope the new year brings temps that at least can melt the ice off the road so I can ride again.
