Railroad tracks, man hole covers, cat's eyes, white lines, glazed tiles, etc.... these are the slippery hazards on the road... If you know nothing about motorcycle tires... then you will fall, no matter how slow or careful you are... Scooter racing is very popular in our region and the tires they use have a softer compound rubber compared to OEMs and your regular street tires... they can bank at high speeds even when wet... I changed to them not because I want to race or go fast but because they don't slip even in the rain... regardless of tread design...
If you noticed in the video, when they hit the track they bike slid all the way even after the tire touch the track... With a better tire, the bike will just jerk when the tire hits the steel track because it is just in that instance that there's no traction...
These temporary steel covers are the worst when wet....
