..yeah, outside variables...even road conditions have to be perfect for top performance...

..I rode in with a 20mph headwind today..

..woulda thought i'd lost compression or something..

..took me 7 minutes longer on a 16 mile trip...

I live in area with very strong wind. Last week I was driving uphill on a highway with a passenger, fully loaded (P250S).
Normally it can sustain indicated 70+ mph.
With head wind (40-60 mph!) I could flat out do barely 55 mph!!!!!!!!
Not to mention problems with stability (I think this was close to closing the road for bikes, trucks and buses).

It,s days like that I try to sit back, and look at the thing I might have missed the first few hundred times. Something I would like to find is an aluminum magneto/flywheel. I used to run them on the old Kawasaki Jet Ski's. They worked wonders for throttle response, But Iv,e NEVER seen on for scoots. If anyone wants to run w/ the idea... I,ll buy the first one! To get back, That's why I like the Malossi gear, Light weight = quicker response! Slinger, you would prob. get blown backwards!

...yeah, the most wind i've ridden in was 40mph gusts...

..but it was nearly a direct cross-wind...

..i hate those the most...

Used to live on Villano Bch w/ a 1/2 mile bridge to St. Augustine. That was NUTS (crosswind)
