As a old time drag racer I'm curious as to what times these 300GTI's will turn. I've got 14g sliders in mine. Any guess about times for mine?
Sorry Mrmike but I just today found your question. My local track is only 1/8 mile, Showroom stock I ran a best of 11.358 @ 60.008, 2.635 in 60'. With drilled rollers I went 10.962 @ 61.743 and 2.536 60'. Finally at an all scooter race at the same track I removed the top box and air filter, 10.457 @ 63.814 and 2.289 in 60'. The FI compensated, sort of, for no air filter. The bike left really well but layed down bad about 200 feet before clearing out again to ran good.
Also ran the bike at Atlanta Dragway, 1/4 mile. Only got 2 runs in before the rains hit. Numbers were 11.839 @ 58.88, 1/8 mile, 2.791 60', 18.585 @ 72.83 in the 1/4 mile. This was box stock except no top box. I have no explanation why it was so much slower at Atlanta. A friend was with me there with his 200cc Piaggio Fly 150. It too was slower at that track.
For comparisons sake, the GTi was quicker than an Aprilia Atlantic 500, Kymco 500 and Yamaha 400 Majesty, all box stock, that I've ridden at the same 1/8 mile track. The Kymco GTi 300 is very near the quickest single cylinder scooter available. One possibly quicker one might be the BV350 which I've had no experience with.
