Salt = high blood pressure. Lay off the salt - there is already enough added to almost all our foods....if you have a salt shaker on the table, think of it as a pistol laying there. Watch someone after even a 'mild' stroke trying to walk - let alone ride a scooter.
As for my scooter.....it's pretty, but it ain't a vintage Ferrari Testarossa or a Speedster.
Winter prices are 66% of what I paid a year ago - so it's not like these Kymcos are appreciating in value if you keep them on blocks in the living room with a lamp on them. I'll ride this scoot... rain, snow etc., rinse it with soap & hot water from the garden sprayer when I get home - start it again to make certain I've not wet something important, give it a quick wipe and enjoy it again the next ride.
Nobody in N. America is changing his oil more often than I am....so, it's not being abused, just ridden.
When I don't ride the scoot to work I'm taking the city bus. This isn't my toy, it's my vehicle.
My day-dream , as I shovel my driveway every 18 hours, is to fly out to see Oooty in Santa Barbara, purchase one of his pretty red HD 200's and ride home to Ohio. Must buy a couple quarts of oil for the changes while I mosey along, breaking it in. The valves will be OK, he assures me. (it's a day-dream, but I did ask him about the valves)
